CERAM X®

UHMW-PE – Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene

CERAM X®

CERAM X® combines the best properties of ceramics and UHMW-PE. The material is designed for use in the dewatering process in paper and pulp production machines’ wire sections, and it bridges the gap between standard paper‑ and pulp‑industry products and pure ceramics. The product offers excellent wear-resistance properties without the downsides of ceramics, such as high cost and poor manageability. The material also has higher heat resistance (with a continuous service temperature of 105 °C). CeramX®’s coefficient of linear heat expansion is half that of conventional UHMW-PE, making the product an ideal choice for doctor blades, turbulence generators, suction box lids and filters in pulp‑drying sections. We deliver CERAM X® as sheets and finished components for the paper and pulp industry.
