PMMA XT

PMMA – Polymethyl methacrylate

PMMA XT

PMMA XT, or acrylic, is an extruded, amorphous thermoplastic, which can be used to replace glass. Its impact strength is about 20 times higher than that of glass. It can be fabricated into elegant decorative items. It can also be used for applications such as display boards as an alternative to glass. PMMA is suitable for thermoforming, and the machined surfaces can be polished. Being highly weather‑resistant, it is well suited to outdoor applications. Though slightly less expensive than the cast material, extruded PMMA is not as suitable for thermoforming. We deliver PMMA XT as plastic sheets, tubes and rods.
